St. Francis Xavier, Our Heavenly Patron

St. Francis Xavier, S.J., was a Navarrese Basque Roman Catholic Missionary, born in Javier, Kingdom of Navarre (now part of Spain). His acquaintance with Ignatius of Loyola prompted him to join the path of devotion. He devoted himself to religious service and became one of the founders of Jesuit Order. In 1530, Francis was awarded Degree of Master of Arts and taught Aristotelian Philosophy at Beauvas College, University of Paris. The world venerated him for his ability to live and work with the downtrodden and the marginalised. The incomparable apostolic zeal and the stupendous miracles which the God has ordained through him made him an unparalleled divine manifestation. As an ecstatic saint, great teacher and savior, his soul continues to provide providential assistance in all our ventures.
